We deal with issuance and transfer of shares, acquisition of companies, mergers, protection of minority shareholders, amendments of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of Companies and other company law issues. The Farm is dealing with a considerable number of cases relating to the dishonour of cheques under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881.

Litigation
S. Ahmed & Associates is traditionally a litigation-based law firm. Our lawyers are expert litigators and we deal with a huge number of suits, cases and proceedings before various judicial and quasi-judicial bodies. A separate dedicated team deals with cases before the civil courts, criminal courts and labour courts in and around the district of Dhaka. Partners regularly appear before the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. We also deal with proceedings before various tribunals and special courts. Fiscal law-related proceedings before administrative and judicial bodies are also dealt with by our lawyers.

Constitutional Cases
The Firm has a considerable number of cases pending before the writ jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. These cases deal with instances of violation of constitutional and legal rights of citizens and non-citizens including local and foreign companies. We have a very good track record of getting positive and meaningful results for our clients. The Firm is an expert in public interest litigation under which a concerned citizen may move the High Court Division to safeguard the interest of the public. 

Admiralty 
The firm for a decade successfully deals with the litigations in admiralty jurisdiction for both the local and foreign clients on different issues like bunker claim, collision, claim for freight, lien, sub-freight of ship owner and charterers, salary and wages of the crew, seaman etc. The firm has a very good trac record of success in arresting the vessel and releasing the vessel from arrest in admiralty jurisdiction.  

Arbitration and ADR
The Firm has considerable experience in conducting arbitrations, both local and foreign. We deal with issues such as the implementation of foreign arbitral awards, obtaining interim court orders pending arbitration and conducting arbitration over electronic web-based methods.
